Learning By Doing
Wonders' Early Childhood programs for infants, toddlers, preschool and Pre-K are created to nurture each child's social and emotional growth and to help him or her learn by doing. Activities are based on teachers' observations of individual children, and the group as a whole. All of our early childhood programs are based on The Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive, research-based teaching method focused on the philosophy that children learn best by doing, as opposed to being told exactly how to accomplish a task.

From Eight Weeks To Five Years Old

All Wonders' Early Childhood programs focus on each child's social and emotional development and include learning experiences that enhance their ability to explore the world around them. Infants are not expected to conform to a set schedule and are cared for on an individual basis. As a Toddler's desire for independence increases, the caregiver will provide him or her with opportunities to make choices and interact with their surroundings. Preschoolers discover an environment in which they can explore, practice new skills and play with peers. And, in Pre-K, our teachers take great care to get to know each child as an individual, and support the development of a sense of self, personal responsibility and a respect for others as they prepare for Kindergarten.

Enhancing The Learning Process

Collectively, Wonders supports the interests of each child with hands-on experiences and materials that help advance social-emotional and cognitive skills. To foster the development process, we have low student-teacher ratios, an open-door policy for parents, and a variety of age-appropriate field trips.
