EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
The Executive Assistant supports the Executive Director in all aspects of program management. Primary responsibilities will be administrative support, communication and marketing assistance, and program assistance.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Direct support to the Executive Director to facilitate the Executive Director’s oversight of Wonders
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents
- File and retrieve documents and reference materials
- Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare reports and documents
- Manage development database, reports and acknowledgments
- Provide assistance to the Wonders Board, including maintenance of all Board documents, facilitating communication to the Board, and preparation for meetings
- Prepare for distribution to the Wonders community, all communication from the administrative team and Board of Directors
- Manage Wonders staff database and organization directory
COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND MARKETING
- Strive to further the Wonders mission
- Assist in marketing efforts: produce social media and website content, monitor website analytics and other web based media
- Actively participate in fundraising and community events
- Act as the liaison for all Wonders professional partners
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree required. The ideal candidate will have an interest in nonprofit management and the social services sector. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. S/he will have strong communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to represent Wonders with business and nonprofit professionals. Other qualifications include:
- An energetic and enthusiastic person who has the capacity to manage multiple, ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing skills
- React quickly and flexibly to last minute changes in tasking
- Able to work independently as needed, but also collaboratively
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize projects and tasks, paying close attention to details
- Strong ability to use computers, and experience with Microsoft Office software including Power Point, spreadsheets and word processing applications, as well as the internet and social networking media such as Facebook and LinkedIn
- Creativity a plus
RECEPTIONIST/STAFF ASSISTANT
The Receptionist/Staff Assistant manages the effective flow of communication between Wonders and its community. This position directly assists the Administrative Team and Program Directors.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Provide administrative support to the administrative team and program directors including the facilitation of communication between all
- Produce and distribute minutes from monthly director meetings
- Oversee mail duties including incoming & outgoing mail and completion of transactions at the post office
- Manage routine maintenance of office equipment
- Maintain inventory of Wonders promotional materials
- Maintain oversight of Wonders purchase orders
- Act as the liaison for supply vendors, service contractors and utilities
COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND MARKETING
- Strive to further the Wonders mission
- Greet visitors to the administrative offices
- Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate administrative staff (use of “DND” should be used as directed by managerial staff)
- Have knowledge and understanding of all Wonders initiative and enrollment options
- Act as the liaison for all Wonders professional partners
- Support efforts of fundraising and community events

Gerald: I have the rare opportunity to help with a child’s development. The support of the parents, children, Wonders Organization and the CCED team allows me to accomplish this. I am very thankful for that.

What’s the most unique aspect of your Wonders site?
I love the that the center has a very “community” feel to it. Many of our children live within walking distance and we frequently see them around the neighborhood on their days off.
