POLITICS AND PROSE BOOK FAIR

Happy 2010!  This is the 9th year for the Wonders Book Fair at Politics and Prose Book Store, and is a wonderful event as it involves parents, children and books!  Not only is it a fun event, it raises money for the Wonders Scholarship Fund for financial assistance.

The Fair is being held on Saturday, January 30th and Sunday, January 31st from 10 am - 4 pm at Politics and Prose, 5015 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, 20008.   There will be an opportunity to buy books from the teacher Wish Lists for the classrooms and for your child, and family.  

Volunteer!
We need a total of 24 volunteers, and this will include Wonders Board members, and parents.  There will be a Wonders table in the lower level of the book store manned by two volunteers for each hour between 10 am - 4 pm for Saturday and Sunday.  (Volunteers greet shoppers who stop by, and providing assistance to members of the Wonders community shopping for books.)

We had a great turnout of parent volunteers last year, and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.  It's just one hour, and very fun! 

Please let me know if you have an hour available anytime between 10-4 to volunteer on Saturday, January 30th or Sunday, January 31st at Politics and Prose to benefit Wonders.  If you can volunteer, please email Elizabeth Torrey at the address below and let her know what time slot you are available for.
