After School Teacher near American University
We are seeking several enthusiastic and energetic men and women to work in our School Age

          programs serving Horace Mann Elementary.

Our program is located across Nebraska Ave. from AU,  in the Methodist Church.

These are perfect opportunities for AU students to work around your class schedules. Teachers aide at Horace Mann ES should also apply.



#1 Position: 2:15 to 6:15 Monday Thru Friday

#2 Position: 4:00 to 5:30 Monday thru Friday escorting children from their after school Enrichment

                 Classes  at Horace Mann to the Wonders After School Program across the busy street.

#3 Position: 2:30 to 5:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

#4 Position: 7:15 to 9:15 Three days per week (these days are flexible) Before School



Our children are ages 4 to 12 years old. We are looking for individuals who have experience working with school age children.

Our programs are recreation-based not academic. Your experience should be in similar recreation-based program,

such as YMCA, Dept of Rec., camp, or after-school program.

Assistant Director School Age
Wonders Child Care is now interviewing qualified candidates for the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR position in one of our  fun and enriching Elementary School Extended Day programs. The Assistant Director works with the Program Director to ensure the program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children before and after school.

Must have a Bachelors Degree  in Elementary Ed, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Child or Human Development ,or related field.

Must have experience working in an after-school program, summer camp, YMCA or Rec Dept program, or similar recreation based program.

Must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to support and guide a staff of professional child care teachers. Supervisory and administrative experience in an education environment a plus. Position is full time - must work Before-School and After-School.

Substitute Teachers in Pre-School
We are seeking Substitute Teachers to work  in our preschool and infant/toddler classrooms.

Our three  early childhood sites provide nurturing, enriching environments for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children and their families.

We are looking for caring individuals who are interested in working on an “as needed” basis.

Must be familiar with developmentally appropriate practice and have experience working with young children.

We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic and energetic individuals for our AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM in  Chevy Chase MD.

Position is Part Time, 2:15 to 6:15. Working with children 5 to 12 years old.

MUST HAVE  experience in after-school programs, YMCA, Dept of Rec., summer camp, or similar recreation based program.
